DMA has a strict policy on behavior between studios and the image that their members portray. A large part of their policy is against any form of stealing and luring in other studio’s students and Abby has obviously done this to the extreme. Unknown members with smaller studios have gotten their memberships revoked for smaller crimes than Abby’s. Also, DMA really didn’t want that kind of negativity attached to their organization. How would an outsider perceive DMA if all they saw was Abby?
Side note: The Dance Moms film crew came to DMA’s national PAC and convention during the first season expecting to film and they immediately sent them away.
